If she is the best player, she isn't going to improve by training with players less skilled than her. And if she is one of the weaker players, she won't get as much playing time. Unfortunately, right now, BRYC 2011 girls is not a strong age group overall.
What are you basing that on?

Do they have more U9 Elite players than previous years? How many?
They have 3 teams I think so that's 30+ kids in the U9G (2013) pool. There also are a couple U8G teams--so those kids are getting a full year jump on the training.

I know others choose differently, and more power to them. But no way am I driving 40+ minutes each way, multiple times a week, for kids' sports.

Our child respects her ecnl coach and teammates. Commute is why we are there and as long as my kid is developing and learning in a positive environment (which it is) then I don’t care about the losses. Her team could use some additional talent and I at time wish kids who are the bench at other clubs would give us a try. The choice to stay has been my child’s decision.
