I have a son who is gay who is afraid to tell his teammates and it has been hurting me.

We played against the team he was on last week, girls are obviously older, with a bigger field and he was on this team again. Getting a lot of noticeably encouraging cheers, Went by the same name as a popular flower with a lot of L's in it.
I'm not there yet on my understanding of parents that segregate a child that early to be honest. But it's not up to me, nor do they need to provide me an explanation. I just haven't seen 7/8 year old boys mistreat a kid because he believes he is a girl trapped in a boy's body.
There are so many things wrong with your post and sadly I think you were trying to be nice.
I feel like on my sons team that it perhaps wouldn't be accepted which makes me sad but its just the vibe I get. Anyone else?

By the way I am the OP and I am sorry if it looked like a troll post. I was writing fast and didn't realize it came across poorly. I have a son who is gay who is afraid to tell his teammates and it has been hurting me. Apologies for starting something bad when I was just worrying out loud.
