I've thought about this so many times (for no good reason!). I am sure my MIL would hide her kids in the basement and ferret them away to some country with no extradition.

I am sure my own mom would turn us in and promise to visit us in jail a lot (then have reasons for not coming - she loves us more than anything but there's going to be a reason!).

Grace is for the a**hole who honks at you during a road-rage incident. Not a kid that takes an assault weapon to a school and slaughters dozens of children.

If my kid killed in self defense, I'd hire a lawyer for them. If they killed out of rage, they'd be on their own.

What if you found out your child stormed the capitol on Jan. 6th?

That's not what OP is asking, though. "If your adult kid killed someone" not if they were suspected of a crime. They did it. You know they did it. So ... yeah, get a lawyer and turn him in. Your kid killed someone else's kid. You can love him while he's in jail, that's what unconditional love means.
