So true. Any third grader doing the Bulldog Bark this year won the teacher lottery.

Well now she can be right in an overcrowded school.

Of course you open under capacity, then you have space to grow.

Has Discovery ever hit capacity? APS couldn’t plan their way out of a paper bag. Seats where we don’t need them.

I'll say it, since it is true: They don't actually build for capacity, they build to match the housing prices of the school catchment area.

Perhaps this is a dumb question, but I haven’t finished my coffee yet. What do you mean by this?

That house went to contract in one weekend and the slightly pricier craftsmen in that part of LV just went to contract too. I don’t think we are seeing the boundary changes affect home values right now.

Such a good thing for this year!!

Perhaps OT, but I thought it was predicted to open near or at capacity. Is it empty because people have enrolled their children in private school?

Predicted based on what data? I think all assumptions went out the window with covid. And I thought they weren't opening at capacity because we only did minimal boundary changes to get it open?

We know people who moved further out, moved out of state, and switched to private. And many 5th graders stayed at ASF for their final year.

Be thankful the #s are low -- for now. It will fill soon enough.

When they drew the boundaries, they drew them to fill the school at close to capacity. It’s no where near capacity. We will see how this shakes out, but man are those projections bad.

LOL. Yes, a lot has happened since they came up with those models. Just in case you haven't noticed.

Enjoy the space while you (particularly during a pandemic). It will be filled before you know it.

it sure will.
