Subject: People who run/skate/bike with their dog
We run with our labs all the time. We are not olympians and the dog needs the exercise. These are long runs 8- 10 miles. H
However, a note of caution. I do know of a story where a puppy was taken out for a long run and died in the heat.
Dogs will not tell you that they are tired. They will keep going until they can't go anymore.

Long time dog owner. I will say dogs attached to bikes do concern me since there isn't that sense of connection being at opposite ends of the leash that you get if you're holding the leash while running or even roller blading.
We run, jog and walk with our dogs. They let you know if they need a break or if it's too fast or slow. And yes, just like there are temps where it's too hot or cold for humans, there are temps that aren't good for dogs or at least certain dogs. That goes without saying.
