Those are the cars we've had the best luck with--we like how they drive, how long they last, and that they're reasonably priced. We have always had Toyotas and Hondas, but also just bought a 6 year old Subaru Forester for our teenager to drive.
Same here - had a Ford Taurus that was a money pit, then moved on to Nissan, Mazda, Acura and now Subaru.
I have a 2 year old Subaru Forester that my son will have in 2 years when he gets his license. Then I’ll buy something else for me.
My dad was an autoworker, so I prefer Ford or GM cars. Counter to my preference, DH bought a Subaru Forester, and it's been in for repairs multiple times. Totally did NOT live up to its reputation.

Americans owned slaves and were one of the countries that subjugated the government of China during colonial occupation. Great Britain practiced colonialism and slave trade all over the world and only gave up their last territory in 1997. I don't think there are any French cars sold in the US. What else is left?
