Girl’s parents are probably just in shock and extreme sadness. They feel ashamed that their daughter was drinking and hooking up with random guy on her vacation, it’s a big thing in their culture. And that explains why her friends haven’t come forward to share anything as they don’t want any media attention for their families.

Are you one of those friends or the young men's friend of somehow tied to their families? How do you know why someone doesn't want to come forward? Maybe they also have lawyered up and they were advised not to? If you know and can share, do. Or stfu.

The girl got drunk and she decided to jump in the ocean at night. The result was predictable.
We only know she was in the water based on his changing story. She may just have been on the beach.
Weren't her clothes found on a beach chair? Such as you would do if you decided to go swim?
Yes.
His puke was also found on the beach. They got drunk. She went swimming on purpose, he was so drunk he puked and blacked out. Those are set facts.
Sounds like this was the case to me.

Nothing explains why. Yet

Yep. She could have also passed out like he said he did. Then what happened?
This. Where is she?

They can probably only go so far into the ocean to track her if she actually went into the water. Who leads those searches, DR police or US ones who are there - Loudoun county?
