Any point he may have had was undercut by giving the speech at a private country club with a membership fee that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars.

That was a couple hundred bucks worth of groceries paid for by his campaign...not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. What annoys me quite a bit more is the ballistic glass that will be shipped around the country at taxpayer expense so he can continue to have his outdoor rallies.

Oh, wait, also the sheeting on the military, especially prisoners of war. And loving on the "very fine people" Nazis. Plus the whole not releasing his tax returns stuff, as well as never coming up with the universal health care plan he promised. Oh! Also not building "the wall." And the tax cuts for the rich, and his obsession with imaginary crowds and their sizes thereof, and of course not paying his bills to small businesses and local governments. Not to mention calling McCain a "loser." And the bleach up the butt thing, and his weird little snide names he calls people, and the kids in cages stuff. And the Sharpie on the map thing, and trying to get Georgia to "find votes." Oh, right, and the classed documents in the crapperhouse bit! That was great.
I love all of that, all of it. Can't get enough. But there was something about the azaleas, and the faint scent of summer slowly decaying into the fall, that golden slanted light and the barest chill of coming frost on our limbs, well, we could see that all times will pass, and to each and every thing is its season. Somehow, in some way, we were all magically cursed with the knowledge of god's own apple tree and the inevitability of a Harris/Walz success if this country is to survive.

Certainly not fields of endangered birds like he's claiming, and nobody thinks windmills are wiping out the Bald Eagle. But in combination with the outdoor cats and land development it all adds up.
Still, the windmill people are on it. For example, there are sensors that shut the windmills down temporarily when they detect incoming eagles or whatever. New windmill projects usually need local/state approval to ensure they're not in key migration flight paths, and the bird groups always show up when there's a potential problem.
So Trump can shut up now.
PS. Bald Eagles again. Do you want to know the real problem eagles and raptors face? Lead bullets and lead fishing tackle. Many raptors eat carcasses left behind by hunters, and those carcasses are contaminated by led bullets. Bald Eagles mostly eat fish but they will also scavenge carrion. There have been bills to outlaw lead bullets, but because they're slightly more expensive than (equally effective) alternatives, republicans always vote them down.

Considering bald eagle populations are pretty close to what they are estimate to have been in the early 1800s (and a 20,000% increase since the 60s, which I like better than saying 200x as many), they're doing fine. Also, not something people realize, but the Conservation Reserve Program (ag set-aside for highly erodible land, which gets planted in cover drops--I own some planted in native prairie grasses, which stay green and healthy even in severe drought years) increases habitat, raptor populations in general have grown where I own that land.

Other sources of electricity are also more lethal for birds than wind energy. I’m not convinced the man wants to run anymore. His speeches are just sad attempts to put together thoughts; but usually when he’s doing that he’s eager to talk and loves the crowd. Trump looks very tired and has been very lazy with his mouth recently
