3k per year ain’t sustainable when you play intraclub scrimmages and ccl2. EDP for first teams, ok? Sure. Still. The place is a joke. The coaching mediocre. And evergreen is kicking them out of their field because they pay too late.

Barca families are in for a surprise in the coming 6-8 weeks.

LOL...

ONCE AGAIN you're wrong. That ole' church rumor mill proved incorrect. What happened?

Barça is still at Evergreen, Evergreen is finishing their back 3 fields turf replacement (stadium done). Barça just announced they have the highest number of teams to date - 35.

Queue the hate and "overcharging" comments! Aaaaand GO!

Aaaaaaand a Barça fan who knows nothing. You have one year left in evergreen. Oh wait, your directors didn’t tell you that? Hmmm I wonder why…

Let me get this straight. You resurrected a thread from months ago to prove some internet troll was wrong?

Idiot. It was clearly a reference to Messi leaving FC Barcelona!

Does this still hold true? Would love to see their older teams play...

No, Loudoun is just as expensive and has worse coaching even at their top teams. Barca has plenty of kids, who left Loudoun.

Completely anecdotal, but it seems like Barca continues to add kids (I’d guess their total numbers are increasing), but it seems like they have lost some of their top players in a few age groups.

If they were inside the beltway they would attract more players. Being way out in the middle of no place does not help them.

So agree! They have lost some great players that just couldn’t do the drive pay the toll fees (several $hundred per month) after a year or two. Many of those kids moved on to ECNL and/or Academy teams.

Well you could say the same about any location. Inside the beltway would lose many players from Loudoun, western Fairfax, Prince William who don't want to travel in. Outer suburbs have the right income demographic. The goal of any business, after all, is to have enough paying customers not necessarily the best players.

Disagree with you there. Inside the beltway is a better market for them both in name recognition and disposable income.

Agreed. Would love to see them inside the beltway and see how many mire kids they get. I know we would leave our ECNL club if they were closer. Our clubs idea of development is strength training and conditioning. They will tell you ball skills must be done outside of practice. Can you guess what style we play?

That could be 90 percent of clubs in this area. Do they time the kids in tryouts as well, and do the parents scream “boot it!” near the end of close games and “nice kick” after a hard shot sails 20 feet wide or over the goal?

While I don't disagree that their price tag doesn't match their product (we tried them for a season and left), how could you possibly know that Evergreen is kicking them out. We still now families there and they haven't mentioned anything along those lines.

Because it was brought up in church.

Not true at all.
Interesting how these rumors pop up right around try outs.....
