I’m this pp. I actually not surprised because the prosecutor did not seem smart or articulate at all. It was unclear the points they were making and I was in favor of the AP being charged.

For obvious reasons, not surprising at all. All those precious children in that school, with approximately 90% from low income families, deserve so much better than those incompetent administrators who covered for each other.
Absolute $hit$how of a school. I hope none of those admins receive pensions. The nerve of the principal acting like she knew nothing. If that’s true, even more embarrassing. So thankful for our admin!

Apparently, this school system and school are very poorly run. The administrators appear incompetent and incapable of expressing their thoughts an a coherent manner. The principal didn't even know the number of students in her school.

Same for the schools where I've worked, but I know that's not true for many schools. One of my schools went on lockdown over a pocketknife. If there were a gun reported, campus police would be there in minutes. Our county doesn't mess around.
+1. Also, by coming onto school premises you automatically consent to search (big signs out front) so there would be no hesitation to search kids backpacks.

It's absoluty shameful that the defense attorneys are trying to blame the teacher. Anyone who works in a school setting knows who is in charge and what would happen if a teacher dared to independently do otherwise.

Parker’s attorneys argued that all evidence Zwerner presented that placed blame on the school administration shows that the shooting was a result of her employment and the risks posed by being a teacher. “A student shooting a teacher is much like an at-risk youth strangling a counselor or a prisoner killing a prison guard,” the motion states. “The positions of the parties and the complete absence of any outside relationship between them reflect that it was Zwerner’s job and doing her job that created the risk of assault.”
Dr. Parker thinks it's ok for an administrator to ignore dangerous student behaviors and not get involved. It's incompetence and a noncaring attitude on full display.
