If you had a chance to watch the PVI - EHS game yesterday, EHS controlled the pace of the game from start to finish. PVI didn't look interested in playing.

Based on season YTD and quality wins and strength of schedule, I will rank area teams below:

1. Georgetown Prep: Hoyas have dominated the IAC since a very early season loss to Bullis
2. Bullis: The Bulldogs own great wins over Georgetown Prep, Landon, Saint Stephens, and even Episcopal now
3. SJC: best two victories come against Gonzaga and Paul VI
4. Landon: solid victories over Bullis and Saint Stephens (note their game vs EHS was canceled due to COVID)
5. Saint Stephens: solid victories over Bullis, Landon and Episcopal
6. Episcopal: the Maroon win their first ever VISSA State Title. EHS split their series against crosstown rival Saint Stephens
7. Paul VI: VIAA runner up has a good victory over Gonzaga
8. Gonzaga: No quality wins this year, and save my the Riverside argument
9. St Albans: quality win vs Episcopal.. still scratching my head how the Bulldogs managed to win that one

GZ was the only team that followed Covid protocols and didn’t start or start until March, and they are also the only team that hasn’t been able to play in the home stadium. Also save us all the “neither did other teams” argument because we all know that’s not true.

Pretty sure there are some photos on Instagram of Gonzaga practicing at WES from the first week of February.

Hard to really gauge how strong SJC is this Spring, they have played NO ONE. The WCAC having a very down year doesn't help their cause. Beating the Good Counsels or the Heights or Bishop Ireton doesn't really mean much.

I think Prep will beat them by 5 goals at the GEICO event as they have been battle tested in the IAC.

This was actually settled on the field. Bullis was 1 goal better over two games with Landon.

A further litmus test will be Prep/Bullis 3 on Tuesday. Bullis holds the only win by anyone over Prep but that was week 1.

Bullis played months before game 1 and won by a whisker due to 3 saves on the doorstep - Prep had 1 scrimmage before game 1 and has gotten better each week; Game 3 will not be close, Prep wins big.

Bullis Dad here. We played Spalding in Feb in a scrimmage. Practiced against Gonzaga once teams were practicing. That is it.And Prep goalie has made a few saves too against us. Don't get me wrong, you guys are really good. We have a tough challenge ahead. But to say we practiced for "months" and only our goalie made a few big saves is just not accurate.
