Also, literally nothing is going to change the outcome of the election. It’s so fun that Republicans think that Trump will get sympathy votes in November lol
He’s not gonna get sympathy votes. He’s gonna get votes from people that are rightly impressed that a 75+ year old man can get shot in the face and walk it off while pumping his fists.
Real man stuff. You probably don’t respect it or understand it. But there’s a big wide world outside of your suburban book club.

I 100% disagree. Liberals are not calling for violence. It is all conservatives who are spouting violence and demonizing liberals.

Shooter was a registered Republican wearing the shirt of a libertarian 2A youtuber, and the shooter's own instagram profile looks like a QAnoner, with "praise the lord" and "take down Epstein's evil empire"

He was a straight cis man that lived guns and was a Republican. The fact that the MAGA in this thread think not liking Trump means you’re not a republican shows how brainwashed they are lololol

To me I think of those poor SS agents who literally have to get between him and the next bullet and he would rather have his moment than listen to them. It to me symbolizes his selfishness and how our systems enable him.
I am glad he’s ok. I am a for gun control and against violence of all kinds. But this event was a loss of life for at least one innocent person and the reason it wasn’t worse was because of the actions of a group of highly trained professionals- not Trump.
He pumped his fist after the shooter was killed. SS knew he was dead because they got an “All Clear” before moving Trump. You know this, so stop gaslighting us and condemning a man for bravely letting his supporters know he’s okay after getting shot in the face. You’re just scolding him to deflect from your deep shame and cowardice.
The SS knows there’s a chance of a second shooter or a coordinated attack which is why they are covering him with their bodies and trying to remove him from the scene. No one thought oh we are all good here, let’s get the rally going again. They are literally being used as human shields and he’s fighting them for a photo op. And people like it. Insane.
If I was shot in the face I would hope no one would Monday Morning Quarterback my defiant reactions. You sound like a total coward tbh.
+1
I'm not a Trump guy, but his pushing away secret service so that he could communicate with the crowd right after he got shot in the face is so obviously badass that I don't know how anyone could see it differently.
This must be a male/female difference. As a woman, I saw that as a reckless and dangerous (for him) move--even if he had been told the danger was over. But then I'm risk averse and am always playing it safe in life.
I am anti-Trump and I think his fist pump is both unequivocally badass and pure political genius. The photo of that fist in the air framed by the American flag, blood on his face after surviving a very serious attempt on his life, is absolutely historic. And in the end, it doesn't matter what DCUM thinks about this act - what matters is how American voters view it. Americans who love their machismo, their sports, and their crude symbolism will eat this up. In the end, this is a huge boost to Trump's campaign and his image.

Schoolchildren, churchgoers, sleeping mothers, and Presidents/Candidates. In this great country, anyone can grow up to be shot by a semiautomatic rifle.
This will only drive more people to want to own their own guns. Because at the end of the day, you have to protect yourself.

nah. Their solution is always more guns. The irony, of course, is that people who attend rallies are not allowed to bring in guns.
Do you think a gun nutter whose child died from a shooting, accidental or not, wants more gun control? Nope.
More than likely, the shooter has mental health issues, same as the guy who shot at Reagan. But, gun nutters still think it's fine for mentally ill people to get access to guns.

oh, okay then let's deal with mental health!

The shooter’s father was a therapist.
This will just prove there was a lot of mental health issues in that family.
And that poor mental health and guns are not a good mix. But that would be a regulation, so….. mass shooting!

I'd be interested if the yelling began prior to 2 seconds before the first shot and when the target was visible on the roof edge, but as it is, everything seems to have transpired within a few seconds?
