I didn't like that style on Ivanka, but years ago I considered a similar style for my wedding gown and didn't do it because I was worried it would be too formal for our outdoor venue. I regret it -- it's really dramatic and you don't see it very often and I should have just gone for it and said screw it to convention.

But while I think this dress is beautiful, the proportions are wrong for her height. The skirt looks too short for me and I think there should be more volume around the waist. And I think it's hard for that neckline to look elegant on her -- she looked much better in that jeweled dress she wore the night before with the off-the-shoulder neckline.

In normal rigid-body mechanics, an object tips over if its center of gravity passes beyond its tipping point. The tipping point for a human is roughly the outer edge of the footprint. Assuming the feet can adopt any configuration, the effective "outer edge of the footprint" is the smallest rectangle that includes both of the feet. When the person's center of gravity goes outside this rectangle, they are likely to fall over.

found on stack exchange.

In the anatomical position, the COG lies approximately anterior to the second sacral vertebra [1], at the center of the pelvis. [4] However, since human beings do not remain fixed in the anatomical position, the precise location of the COG is always shifting with each movement of the body and limbs. The proportion of body weight of the limbs, trunk, and head will also affect the location of the COG every time we move body positions. [1] It is seen that in males, the center of gravity is in a slightly higher position due to larger shoulder mass.

Looking at the photo, I'm amazed he was still standing.

It's cute!
/(Trump hating Dem for those who think we can't say anything positive)

It was a fly outfit can't lie.

But I think it was fauxlania. Look at the chin area, Melania shows a little more age in this area than this lady

I think so, too. Just saw video coverage on BBC America.

+1 fauxlania must be much younger. It wasn’t as noticeable 4 year ago, also she always smiles too much

Looking at a zoomed in, her skin around her mouth and jaw are showing age just like at the church service.

dp I hate the Trumps but, I am not focused on Melania's aging. If we are lucky, we all will age.

She's also simply slimmed down since the last time she was constantly in the public eye, and that happens in the face too. Hence the wrinkly skin.

I agree. Melania usually looks more tense in her face, and either her mouth is closed or she has a wide smile.
This person looks too relaxed with her mouth ajar.

Does Faux Melania have to sleep with the orange man as part of the agreement?

LOL even real Melania doesn't sleep with him

She slept with him until she knew she'd keep getting a paycheck (e.g. pregnant with B), then she stopped.

She couldn’t even do a repeat for a second kid, which I think is really telling.

Np I think Melania mentioned that she knew the raising of the kid was ALL on her so decided to only have one. Remember he was around 60 at the birth of Barron. I say good on her.

Are these lifts or to prevent forward leaning due to dementia?

Okay the leaning forward is two things:

One is, he leans forward towards whatever camera is he focused on. DRAMATICALLY forward. He thinks it makes him look thinner and aggressive, and I think he’s usually right. But from the side, it looks a little nuts. This is the same category as the insanely long ties. It is actually doing something, it just has side effects.

Two, it’s a thing weak men do when they’re in a conflict. I watched a video of Bill O’Reilly doing it while yelling at an airline employee and it suddenly clicked for me. I think they learn it as children and never recover.

I'm going to take issue with this, and I have love lost for Melania. I loathe the Trumps.

Yeah, this is an unflattering picture of her, but this is how mid-50's women who have not injected their face with a ton of fillers and who haven't done plastic surgery look (like so many of the other Trump women). They are aging. This is aging. Melania is aging just fine. She is still an attractive woman.

You’re saying the Trumps do not use fillers or plastic surgery? 🤣 Thank you for the laugh. That was good.

All you have to do is look at their changing faces over the years, especially Eric, Tiff, and Ivanka and definitely Melania.

The adult Trump kids had no chins as children. Those existing chins did not suddenly grow by themselves. The gummy Eric smile did not disappear by itself.

Melania looked like she used filers. You could tell by how filled and puffy her skin was four years ago. Now she is wrinkly so maybe stopped using fillers.

I think her outfit is cute. I don't think it's age or position appropriate, mostly the hat and leggings though.

No plastic surgery?! The irregular blend from the side of her cheeks to her ears is the giveaway that skin has been pulled back and attached again there. Every man or woman who has that procedure has a very visible scar along the ear.

I don't think she has had a facelift. Or if she has, it didn't do very much.

You can also zoom in on the embroidery. Interesting how they point out parts of it to prove it was the actual dress worn in the movie.

so cool. Thanks for sharing!

This does say it was originally white but turned cream with age, which is typical. I married in a cream dress because I wanted to use my grandmother’s veil from the 1920s, which had also turned cream with age.

I think the outfit is largely appropriate but it’s the hat and glasses that give it IDGAF energy.

Also such a weird mismatch in their outfits. He is wearing what he always wears because he’s a weirdo and she decided to go casual. Just totally weird people.

How interesting that the Sabrina dress was a column gown with like a separate overskirt/bustle/train thing added around the waist.
