She said they were told there wasn't a coach yet but they would be sent offers within a day. I told her the coach was the most important part and how could she take an offer for a team without knowing the coach? How can they have a team with no coach?

What is wrong with a dad being a coach and discussing how he would approach a drill? Coaches are dads/moms and dads/moms are coaches. Even parents having coaching and leadership experience. Wouldn’t you say that about yourself? Just curious.

ok, not subtle then lol. all the other valor coaches were hired weeks ago, i can't imagine there are any good coaches left to hire which says they don't care at all about this particular team. paying $3k for a team with some random scrunged up scrub coaching when the other teams paying the same cost get experienced professional coaches seems like a bad bargain to me. she should look around to nearby clubs.

They’re probably seeing if they can form a third team, then hiring a coach if they can get enough kids. I don’t agree with this approach but Valor seems determined to make as much money as possible at every turn. I’m sure they are figuring that people coming from rec/people whose kids aren’t good enough for the first two teams either don’t realize this isn’t a good idea or don’t care because it’s still better than rec in their mind.
