11-7 Robinson win

This game was tied 7-7 at one point but Stone Bridge put there backup goalie in to get some reps and.....

How can Robo be #1 with such a bad effort against a bad 5A school?

It was never tied 7-7. It was 7-6 at one point.

I guess they're #1 because they're 11-0 and have beaten Yorktown, McLean, Langley, and Madison. Agreed that this was not the best showing by the "top team."

Though they lost that game they showed they can run with competitive teams. They have many defensive weapons and a few decent offensive players so nothing would shock me. I guess we will see how things play out

Unbelievable take here Herndon would be lucky to get the 4 seed in the tournament this year. They will likely play Langley First round and will for sure get blown out by Langley again. Then again by Madison in regionals first round. Herndon parents please stay off this forum with your delusional takes

I think the post about Herndon was facetious.

An absolute slaughter house

Pats by 20 on McLame turf

They ain’t ready for this patriot booty💦💦💦💦💦💦

First the Langley kids and now we have the Yorktown players on this forum being keyboard warriors. Please get off this forum, leave it for the parents. And for the record a healthy McLean team is wiping the floor with the Patriots.

Honestly, McLean is a sorry school. Don’t see them beating the patriots on Thursday as they are smaller and fearful.

Yorktown 9-7

MclLean is scoring around six goals a game against the better teams. Yorktown has a good defense and goalie and I don’t think McLean has enough offense to get it done.

Sadly I agree. I only watched the first half but Battlefield was dominating the game. They scored 3 quick goals to start the game and then every time McLean scored Battlefield immediately answered with a goal of their own. It is the first time I have seen McLean play where their defense looked a step slow and completely outmatched. Their offense was already a tad shaky and now losing what is probably their number 2 scorer (he looked rocked coming off the field) they are going to have to find someone else to compliment their top shooter. I still like them as a team (and am admittedly a fan) but they need to work some things out between now and the playoffs. I can’t help but think the hot start had them overconfident and maybe this game will be a ride awakening for the team.

2. Battlefield- Hadn’t seen much from them but now I have. They DOMINATED Mclean much more than the score showed.
3. Freedom SR- Cannot wait for them and Battlefield to get after it.
4. Langley- They continue to stack wins after their overblown slow start.
5. Madison- They really need to get healthy, do believe they’re top 2/3 when they have their guys.
6. Yorktown- What a win for the boys in sky blue. They are the last of 6 true contenders IMO.
7. Mclean- Little bit of a wake up call the past couple weeks. L to Langley, narrow win over Herndon, and then were not that competitive vs Battlefield. Still the best of the rest, but not the powerhouse I thought they might be.
8. Cosby- They are clearly good enough to stay with Langley, and that’s good enough to let them have the 8 spot.
9. Hayfield- Undefeated, couple decent wins, that’s all it takes to get 9 these days.
10. Oakton- Hello again old friends. Finally figured out how to win again, even if it’s not pretty. In all honesty, this should probably be West Pos spot but I haven’t seen them play.

Oakton is a 4 or 5 seed in their own conference. Maybe 1 quality win, multiple bad losses. Guess we are ranking on what we hope they could be not what they actually are. Other teams have haduch harder schedule and performed the same.

Who that’s ranked below them? I already acknowledged west po. Enlighten me

The west po who has played teams like Edison, Washington Liberty and Alexandria City and still has brutal goal differential? Have to agree with above poster - Oakton just beat 2 teams this past week in the "Also Considered" category, so that has to elevate them above that group. Hayfield also has kind of soft schedule as has been noted but at least they're undefeated.

This is simply not true. I was at the game and perhaps Broadneck had 1-2 players out but 5 is absurd. Yorktown was just more prepared than Langley or Madison was to play them. Please stop using this forum to put down others, it is meant for scores and discussing the landscape of VHSL.

For Everyone wondering how Yorktown managed to beat Broadneck, it wasn’t because Yorktown has better players, coaching, or game plans. Broadneck had 5 starters out who all played against Madison and Langley. Of these starters 2 were D1 and 2 others going D2 or D3. So to all the Yorktown parents please keep this in mind when over hyping your team.
