VLC hardly is the elite for club teams at the youth level. Madlax has just taken over that and other clubs are getting more organized and going stronger.

Former Freedom parent here. It is true that it was a club for kids who just wanted to get better and were probably not good enough for some of the other clubs. Sad it folded.

We were at VLC tryouts yesterday and there were a ton of kids. Saw several Madlax helmets. The talent was excellent.

Um, no. The guy who started it is a Gonzaga assistant coach, but it was not designed to send kids there. If you ever saw any of their teams, none of the kids in that program would ever see the field at Gonzaga.

When did the announcement go out? What is the backstory? Where are most boys going to end up?

FreedomLax in Great Falls would have been another possibility but they ceased operations this past week. No doubt those families are scrambling to identify other tryout options.

It will be interesting to see how the MadLax brand appeals to families in Maryland

Please don't. This is better than anything on TV.
