Platner really is a POS.

I'm sure this will help him win support from law enforcement. /s

Oh so pointing out that a Senator on the Intelligence Committee won’t share her opinion on the worst foreign policy disaster in my lifetime isn’t relevant? We should keep talking about what someone said someone said ten years ago?

It's very relevant. Just another example of an elderly corrupt Senator not doing their job. She is no better than McConnell or Schumer.

DP. This is what a senate does. Maybe she is using her leverage to get AIPAC to pay her more money?

In an effort to reclaim this thread from discussion of raping home invaders,

Ranked choice voting runoff has determined Hannah Pingree as gubernatorial candidate and my old college friend Matthew Dunlap as candidate for House seat CD2 in Maine.

I’m very anxious about these races and whether hitching themselves to Graham Platner’s wagon - as Dunlap already has - will end up being a boon or bust.

It sickens me to think of Maine governed by Bobby Charles and sending Paul LePage to Congress.

It is so very very obvious.

There is no need to further debate his ‘abuse’. It’s exaggerated nonsense and it does not matter.

Ha ha ha ha ha.
"A guy who served his country" because he wanted to kill. Don't make this guy out to be some hero because he served. Many veterans are heros. Not this scumbag.

You, my dear, are ignoring all the evidence. Credible evidence.
He's not just been "mean." He has been abusive. And, he lies about it. Just like the evidence - and plenty of it - that he lied about knowing the meaning of his tattoo.

Tell yourself whatever you need to in order to support this fraud. Toss aside all your strongly held beliefs for how ever long you have held them.
Plenty others are doing the same thing. And, the support you and other Democrats are showing for this creep will come back to bite you.

I can't stand the guy. Not only because of what he has done and what he has said, but because he doesn't have an honest bone in his body. And, because he is using PTSD as a crutch for his abhorrent behavior.
And, because of his absolutely batshit policy positions.

I almost hope he does win. He's everything Democrats deserve.

I still can't get past him saying he wanted to RAPE a home intruder to show his dominance. That's... something.

Sounds like he’s trying to win over the Republicans.

Or maybe he’d have to say he wanted to rape kids to appeal to Rs.

So you're cool with this desire of his to rape a home intruder. Just making sure.

No you're right. He should have spoken MAGA and said he's just shoot the intruder. You all are fine with that sort of thing. Or is it only kindergarten classrooms where that's ok?

Someone breaks in to your home in the middle of the night, are you making them tea and toast?

There’s a lot of options in between tea and toast, and raping someone. That goes well beyond what the law considers reasonable self defense.

True but when you break into someone's home, you expose yourself to the evils that may lie inside of that home. Play stupid games that involve entering other people's private spaces, you may assault and kill or you may be the one getting assaulted or killed. Immediate lethal defensive force used against intruders is the best deterrent we should all practice.

Castle doctrine (in states where it’s legal) doesn’t extend to raping someone. That’s just stupid and exposes the homeowner to assault countercharges.

No home intruder should be raped. They should immediately be met with lethal force. That's just simple common sense. Anyone who says they should be raped is an idiot. Attempting to rape an intruder could possibly give them a few extra seconds to gain control of the situation and then rape and murder your family. Think folks! The only harmless intruder is an immediately dead intruder! Not a raped a intruder...

Exactly. Besides being sociopathic, it’s a recklessly impractical keyboard Rambo fantasy. In order to rape an intruder, they would have to be subdued either physically or at gunpoint and then heavily restrained (good luck with that). Anything extra that is done to them after that point is assault and opens the door to steep criminal and civil charges. Because now you’re no longer acting in self-defense. You’ve become the aggressor. The law does not look kindly on that.

DP. The point, that you continue to miss over and over, is that there is something pathologically grotesque about anyone desiring to rape a home intruder (or anyone). This man's desire to show his dominance over another man by *raping* him instead of you know, simply holding him at gunpoint until the police arrive, is BIZARRE. If you were married to a man who stated he wanted to do this, what would you think? Would you just stand by as he RAPED some burglar?? I mean, JFC. If you find this to be normal, standard behavior, there's nothing left to discuss.

NP. I’m calling the police. But there are some people who will shoot and shoot to kill. I’m not seeing how it’s better to kill someone than it is to sexual assault them.

If you pull a weapon, shoot to kill. If you wait for the police, you're dead before they arrive. The typical police response time for a home invasion in urban areas is 5 to 10 minutes. In rural areas, the response time can exceed thirty minutes.

Indeed.
Why on earth would the chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee review a document that commits the United States to vast expenditures? Or be in the slightest bit interested in how well the $1 trillion dollar DoD budget is being used?

Irresponsible. And a liar.
