Begging for goalies on the boys side which is laughable. If they developed their boy's goalies and actually played them last year, they wouldn't have all left.
We are new to one of the MLSN2 boys teams. A little surprising to see that email about supplemental tryouts. Makes it look like we are desperate for more players but that's not the case.
Yeah, I wouldn't read into it that way (they are desperate for players). When a club holds supplemental tryouts, it is a good way to gain talent outside of the club and get kids to transfer after the trouts have occurred. Our club held them and gained kids from some competing clubs also, even though our rosters were seemingly set...we just made room for 2 more players.

Just curious since it seems like teams will have to be combined to fill out rosters for the upcoming year. I couldn't find what I'm specifically asking by googling so I thought someone may be able to point me to the specific rule
Players from the same club are able to play up on different age groups. I don’t think there is a limit to how many can do that. But there is a rule that a player can only play one game in 24 hours, and since all age groups play on the same day this becomes a problem if you don’t have enough players on game day.
You also have to field a certain number of GA teams across accepted age groups. You can’t just field one team at 2011 and call it a day. It’s still up in the air whether FCV will get booted from GA (source: I’m on the regional council).

is tsjfc giving up on loudoun?
Another day, another merger. Wonder why they think adding locations when they can't make one successful anymore is a good idea?
No different than buying up coaches, clubs, players, and property. In fact, more meritorious than just writing checks instead of actually earning it yourself with *checks notes* genuine work and honest skills.
They aren't buying anyone, it is merger on paper only. Essentially, they are saying your kids can have pathway to our program and attend our clinics, or we may hold some of our clinics (player and coaching) in your area. It is a promise to open dialogue between the two clubs and share information.
It's akin to Fairfax Union forming partnerships with lots of clubs. It spreads the word of the club to new (potential) members and costs very little to do.
TSJ is creating an Northern Virginia Alliance.
And for those who’ve been swallowing up all the BS shenanigans of NOVA’s DMV elitist and hideous ‘partnerships-mergers-alliances-agreements’ they know that with much less time than VRSC they’ll crush Les Revolutionaries in warp speed time. It’s going to be entertaining to say the least seeing the Leesburg peeps seething with what they thought they crushed taking their piece of the pie.
1/3 TSJ teams finished last in GA last year, 1/2 finished 12 out of 14 and they can’t even find players for those teams this year.
Meanwhile VRSC is fielding almost 4 teams per age group on the girls side. And at least top half of the GA table, but why rub it in?
Adam and Tony are blacklisted from every other club in the area so I guess they have to stick with this stinker.
Because there's nothing to rub in. 1 Rev team finished at the top of the table (Thanks to us), 1 finished slightly above the middle (thanks to us), 1 finished just above the bottom (Heritage Rev players), and 3 finished dead smack in the middle (again thanks to us)
