Some are "too old school" for the modern game (berating players and opponents, using the 4-4-2, playing a majority of their passes into the space the opponent leaves behind their line, sprinting into the open space, etc.), just as examples. I pulled my kids away from VRSC because it wasn't the right training environment for them.
“I took my kids to VRSC for the training environment!” - said no one, ever! 🤣
We're happy at VRSC. And I think my kid is in a good training environment.
To the hater - name the club where you take your kids "for the training environment".
Isn't this why we don't play rec?

Maybe this is why they’re not top of the league?

Ur obviously the noobs in the club - despite being Armstronged into giving money/accepting their offer within 24 hrs, you’ll see outside clubs getting training time with your paying child, u will not be informed when they officially join (some potentially free while your forkin out 4K for the year) and u will definitely not hear jack from any lousy director. Sorry for u but better get used to it. Ur now one family, even if u get treated like a disposable diaper

As a retired soccer parent and avid believer that history repeats itself; I can’t see VRSC having that sportsplex much longer for my sole belief alone. Any one on this thread old enough to remember when FC Virginia and the Evergreen Hammers called that sportsplex their home? Then Barca Academy came and called it home their home. Now VRSC calls it home.
The difference is VRSC owns it now.
They have to generate enough revenue to service the debt. The also now have a bloated coaching staff courtesy of FCV and the expense of their fake academy.

These players could be from another team at your child's age level. Ex. our son plays on his age level black team but there are a couple of players on the gold team that couldn't make their teams practice time so they practice with our team.
They could also be players that have requested an ID session and the coaches have them coming to your child's practice to conduct their ID session. This doesn't necessarily mean they will be on your child's team, if the coaches feel they should make a team they will decide which one after watching their ID session.
They are absolutely still adding players mid season. It's a great way to get onto a team before spring tryouts. The coach and manager won't make any formal announcement when they add a player. You will see it in the app when you view the roster. Most new players added now won't play until the spring since it takes so long to get the uniforms.
