Yup, I had a miscarriage and had a D/C. It said right in the insurance claim: “treatment for missed abortion.” Are we as a society going to make women carry dead fetuses, even if that increases risk of infection?

I think PP is just confuses “celebrate” with “discuss” or “disclose.” Although some women may recognize they have zero money or desire to raise a kid. The anti-choice folks, largely men, have never given birth and have the freedom to not worry about raising a kid. Women do the vast majority of the work but it has improved a bit from my dad’s and grandfather’s era. But when rubber hits the road, it usually on mom to take care of kids. It definitely on women to give birth, take time off of work, hunt for child care that for most is breathtakingly expensive. So yes, there are likely a few who are realistic and know they don’t have the time or money for that so a celebration of relief is in order.

Men should have zero opinion on abortion unless you can carry the baby. STFU.

When I first founded I was pregnant. I was scared and not entirely happy. What if I had miscarried? Would my neighbors or my cousins have sued me thinking I'd had an abortion when in reality was just a miscarriage and I was feeling scared becoming a mom for the first time. Everything ended up fine and I have a healthy son who I love dearly but that very easily could have went a different road under this new rule
