Yes there is always language that is unrelated which is why folks have been shouting for a decade about the need for clean bills focused on only one specific issue. If the thing can’t stand in its own and hold up against debate and voting it shouldn’t be there.

These are the type of policies that voters should be hammering their Reps and Senators on.

Also, things like confessional pay freezes when there is a furlough. They shouldn’t be able to upend everyone else financial lives because they haven’t done their jobs and meanwhile still get paid. In fact, I’m in favor of them getting fined during this time period.

If you want to start a separate thread about why we’re attacking the Houthis go ahead. But it’s not relevant here because any Trump SecDef is going to want to do that. We can’t really do anything at the moment about the policy behind these attacks (which are also trying to maintain safe passage in the Suez Canal which is vital.) What we could possibly do is get these hideous mistakes to light and try to get someone competent in charge who isn’t breaching national security just for bragging rights and funsies.

We won’t need it as much when we tariff so much we lost trading partners.

This sort of thing didn't happen when the "DEI people" were in charge
