We received an email from Sterling that offer letters were going out. We didn't try out, so I'm not sure who got offers. Since numbers are low, pretty much anyone who tried out would get an offer or else they can't have teams, which would impact having ECNL-RL for the boys. So it has potential to be the same awful situation for the girls next year that they have had this year.

Sterling can’t help Herndon on the boys side, they’re already helping WV. They have no identity anymore.

Really? I would say this trip is financially impossible without Herndon soccer kicking in a hefty contribution.
Yup per the email asking if some players want to scrimmage the boys before their trip next week.
As a mom who’s gone on one of these trips you are describing, Herndon doesn’t pay a single penny into the travel or trip costs. Also Parents are the ones finding these tournaments and I are pitching the idea to NA for support since they need a coach, which he is more than happy to do if it makes the players excited about soccer. The Disney trip was an idea a mom had. The spain trip was an idea moms had after they attended the year before with a different group. Not all of the age groups are into traveling out of VA much less the country so it’s a toss up. Also these moms have to organize, plan and coordinate everything from the fundraising to the logistics of the hotels etc. people use it as a way to do travel and have a family vacation.
If ya’ll want to go somewhere with your group, find a tournament you’re interested in, pitch the idea to the coach and then get support and start fundraising.
