Landon had to play Prep some time. Be happy the kids got some lacrosse in this spring.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Prep's faceoff guy #5 is the key to their success. He is excellent - like Shockey was for Landon in '17. When Landon's #19 was able to muck it up, the scoring evened. You can say it wasn't close, but Prep had their starters in for the entire game. You pull your starters at the half and sub liberally when the game isn't close.
Prep's defensemen are huge and very talented. Especially 28 -a Huge Defensive problem, two goals and an assist. As a team, they ball watch, which a team with a better dodger or two than Landon has can take advantage of with backside cutters. They are also not very physical, but that is the way the game has gone.
Regardless, they are a very good team, one of the Best I have seen from Prep in a long, long time-easily the best team they have had in a decade. I think Prep beats any team in the area.
Prep's midfield is also excellent. How many graduate? # 10 and #16 I would like to have on my team any day.
To say Landon isn't well coached is a very curious comment. Based upon what?
I think the game between Landon and SJC will be a dog fight.
I think Prep will win against SJC.
The middle of the field saw some great action. #28 for Prep is a monster, and Landon's #4 also recorded several points in transition.
Landon's between the lines game improved from early season woes. They simply had no answer for Preps early possession advantage, midfield athleticism, and Prep shooters were dialed in.
Wonder how much a factor Landon having to play a game on Tuesday was after the bizarre IAC seeding.

Landon bounced a lot of shots over the cage on Prep's astrodirt field. That Rugby Pitch, given the pristine fields and turfs these teams are accustomed to playing on these days, is like DeMatha's homefield advantage back in the day when they played on a Public Park dirt track.
Why is Prep playing on the dirt rather than in the stadium this year?

Preps depth and athleticism showed today. They were the better team. I really don't see them losing to anyone from the DC area this year. Ive watched and followed area teams for a while and this is by far the best Prep team in the past decade.

Not a surprise - Gonzaga not very good this year.

Unsure about coaching but Landon was half the size of Prep. Prep's first midfield is as advertised.
