I agree and I this is why I am supporting them. I have never made any assumptions that they enabling their son or blamed their daughters or that their religion is to blame. Their statement seemed heartfelt. I think they did the best they could in a very difficult situation. It is so upsetting to me that people are villifying them.

There has been a ton of evidence posted here about how the Duggars handled it and that the very "therapy" they used is based in victim blaming. The document was posted on this thread. Also of course their statement was heartfelt, a publicist wrote it. I worked in public relations - trust me TLC made sure they had the best to soften public sentiment, so less would blow back on the network

The biblical basis for that curriculum does not include children victims. The bible is pretty clear on who it applies to, down to whether a woman was raped while inside the city or outside the city. If you guys were more familiar with the bible, you wouldn't be arguing such nonsense.
