I bet right now teams in smaller markets like Portland or Nashville or Oklahoma or all the Canada cities are exploring options to move here.
There is no way a pro-league abandons the district.
I’m not a fan of the move to Alexandria, but the teams are not “abandoning” DC.

I’m sure the suites will be top of the line. Ted’s focused on enhancing the “game experience.” As a longtime Bullets/Wizards fan, my experience has mostly been bad trades, bad draft picks and bad basketball. I’d be happy with a competitive team. Whether the arena is in its current Chinatown location, or Alexandria, that’s all that matters to me.
The thing that makes a great "game experience" is winning teams. The videos, lights, music etc are all meh and pretty much the same at every arena across the country. You want to pack the stands and give people something to cheer about. Everything else is secondary.

This definitely opens up Baltimore’s middle branch area right off 95 for an NHL arena. I think they would rather have NHL than nba

Why do people make insane posts like this?
