Abortion bans are impossible to analogize, because it is a unique case under the law. Which means it’s clearly wrong. I can’t think of anything close. I’ve asked a few times for someone to point to a single medical procedure that the government has banned, other than abortion. The only justification for getting involved in health care decisions is public safety. Abortion bans have the opposite effect.

Regardless of what side you're on, that's the beauty of america. If you don't like the laws/taxes/refs your state passes, you can vote new reps in to change them or you can move. You don't want to live in a republican state that bans abortion, move or vote to change the law. No one is forcing you to live in a state with values/laws/tax structures you don't agree with.
Since when did Republicans begin supporting representative democracy? Please answer that.
DP. The PP seems to forget what the party of Lincoln actually believed. It’s been true for some time now that certain things cannot be left to the states.

Ok so have woman register as well when they turn 18. Interfering with their reproductive decisions has nothing to do with requiring woman to register for selective service

Freedom of religion will not trump the right to life.

The 1st Amendment forbids government from discriminating against people based on religion. It in no way requires government to let you use your religion to opt out of neutrally applied non-discriminatory laws.
