Interesting opinion. Oakton beat number 6, SSAS, who beat number 7, Stone Ridge. Not sure "those teams would smash".
Also Madison held their own in a scrimmage with number 8, St Johns, and lost by two to Potomac (on the bubble), and Oakton beat Madison pretty handily.
Not a crazy or ill-informed ranking from WaPo.
