interesting, that's 2 additions for next year. IMO they are strengthening to be the next best option in town for clubs after ECNL/DA. Clearly stronger than VPL.

statement says that their top teams will be ccl. ccl2 is the second teams. There is some good competition in ccl2, not all but there is.

very few. My kid played in CCL2. The same 6 teams. There was only 1 other team that was equal caliber. The rest of the time we watched them win 12-0. It was boring.

Then, they would go to a non-CCL tournament and experience that game in the opposite direction and be completely surprised that they weren't the superstars they thought they were.

All of the parents wanted more competition and would have preferred to be in NCSL vs CCL2. I have seen Herndon play a lot and I just think with Pro/Rel, they are much better off with the variety of teams and styles present in NCSL.

After claiming at the start of the year that the (much-increased) fee was all inclusive, my kid's club has added a number of additional fees as the year has gone by. I am speaking about what they consider "mandatory"(winter training, third practice,...), not the optional items (such as "technical sessions"). Is this a common practice among other clubs?

FPYC is a multi sport club with deep relationships and field investments in FF City. No way they merge with anyone.

It would make sense for FPYC to merge with BRYC but FPYC is a disorganized shitshow and they would never consider it. The travel soccer side had some real talent but they have lost most of their players to other clubs.

The two clubs have totally different cultures. In addition, BRYC is more of a trainwreck, at least on the boys' side and at the 2005-2008 age range. The BRYC Elite Academy is *barely* fielding one team at 2005. FPYC has two, and one is D.2 in NCSL.

Not exactly sure why this is surprising. DA is the clear cut top level for boys. For girls there is a debate between DA vs ECNL. I'm not really sure why you would switch from one to the other at this point, but I guess there could be an argument...somewhere.

Because VDA’s TD is now the “head” of US Youth Soccer, which is closely affiliated with ECNL
