CCL just added Herndon. A pretty good size club and with strong teams. Seems like a quality add. http://www.clubchampionsleague.com/2018/03/16/2018-herndon-youth-soccer-to-join-ccl/

They were better off in NCSL--especially their teams that will now be put in CCLII which is a huge joke and non-competitive.
statement says that their top teams will be ccl. ccl2 is the second teams. There is some good competition in ccl2, not all but there is.

I got the idea that Poster was hopeful that something similar would happen for FPYC since teams appear low in numbers.
That's a plausible interpretation. Wasn't sure if there was something tangible on the table.
Nothing on the table. The poster wants to suggest it to the club.
FPYC is a multi sport club with deep relationships and field investments in FF City. No way they merge with anyone.
It would make sense for FPYC to merge with BRYC but FPYC is a disorganized shitshow and they would never consider it. The travel soccer side had some real talent but they have lost most of their players to other clubs.

There is no US Soccer mention of VDA dropping out of GDA either and yet it happened. It is not like leagues announce who they lost.
Wait -- VDA is adding boys teams and dropping girls? Are you serious?
Not exactly sure why this is surprising. DA is the clear cut top level for boys. For girls there is a debate between DA vs ECNL. I'm not really sure why you would switch from one to the other at this point, but I guess there could be an argument...somewhere.
Because VDA’s TD is now the “head” of US Youth Soccer, which is closely affiliated with ECNL
US Club Soccer not US Youth Soccer.
