Math counts.

Has anyone claimed 100% recruitment, or you just enjoy punching straw men?

Not the PP, but here is the exact marketing from VA Elite's website:

"Why Virginia Elite?....The Recruiting. Virginia Elite is committed to developing the best volleyball athletes in the DMV area and preparing them to play at the collegiate level. As your athlete prepares for the recruiting process, we become each athlete’s advocate and will support her decision to play at the next level. At Virginia Elite we have a dedicated recruiting staff whose primary objective is to help athletes and families navigate through this difficult and often times stressful process. Over the 17 years of our club's existence, we maintain a 100% placement rate, for all those that choose to play at the next level."

Yes, there is a caveat--"choose to play", but they definitely claim 100%, it is not a straw man. Its a big part of their marketing and their direct conversations with players they are trying to recruit from other clubs. Its also not unheard of for them not to take players on the 18s team because they know they don't want to play in college or aren't being recruited by the types of schools they prefer.

Unrelated but I can’t get over their costs. They are so expensive. With their mandatory travel package, they are by far the most expensive at over 13k.

Why 2027? Are they good?

2026 class seems to be following a theme - Tufts, Colby, Carnegie Mellon

For VA Elite, will be interesting to see how their 2027 class shapes up.

I think that’s generally true. Interestingly, the VA Elite 18s team that just graduated had 6 D1 commits and 5 D3. I believe other than Metro 18 Travel, they had the most D1 commits from a CHRVA team in 2025. I think that team was a bit of an outlier for VA Elite though.

Looking at their recruiting page, this year seems to be pretty consistent with other years - mix of D1 and high academic D3.

I don't see any lists of commitments for prior years, but I do see they boast a "100% placement rate". If it really is true that they are sending +/-6 players to D1 programs every year, I do wonder why they aren't more competitive?

I agree with a PP: VA Elite doesn't seem to slow down in terms of college commitments.

Look on their recruiting tab on their website, yes generally 6+ go D1. I think they take a lot of kids with height so they get recruited with potential in mind. Last I heard, most of their kids generally play in college vs riding the pine. Maybe their technical training is good. No idea

And there’s D1 (impressive) and there’s D1 (who?) I will give them their D3 list is impressive, for what it’s worth.
