Why would they give $5.7 billions for a temporary extension of DACA, when DACA is already tied up in the courts so dreamers aren't being deported for now anyway? Trump isn't offering amnesty or a permanent solution, why should Dems agree to that? You were fine when Trump refused to sign a bill that unanimously passed the Senate (and the White House had agreed to) because Rush and Ann Coulter said no. Why are you so outraged that the Dems are sticking to no wall just like he's sticking to there must be funding for the wall.
DP. Dems are acting as if $5 billion for the wall is such a horrible thing that they need to extract more in "return" for it. In what universe it a bad to approve a relatively small amount for a barrier so that we can deter illegal aliens?
You do realize that the $5 billion is only for a fifth of the wall and that if they cave on this he'll keep

And where is Pelos's counteroffer? I haven't seen it. She said NO to Trump's olive branch before he even stated it. PPs who have said that public sentiment will turn against the Dems if she doesn't make a counteroffer are correct.
Go read her press release. i posted it on DCUM already. She said she would negotiate border security after ending the shutdown. She released her statement shortly after his speech, but the contents of his offer were widely circulated in the press before the speech.

Wrong! The Supremes merely declined to take up the issue by this summer. They will get to it in the Fall, and the Dreamers will be vulnerable again come next year. And by that time the President very likely will have nominated RBG’s successor. So I’m sure the Dreamers are not at all happy with Nancy’s decision to reject three more years of protection. And again, this just goes to show that Democratic Leadership is not at all confident it can defeat the President, either through the Special Counsel investigation or in the next election!

Because it isn't about the wall. We will be in the same spot in October when Trump does this again. And he will. He did it 3 times last year and that was when the GOP controlled hte House and Senate.

+1. I cannot believe that the Dems have the gall to adjourn the House, not to mention leave Washington altogether, while the shutdown crisis remains unresolved. They should be in Washington, negotiating around the clock. Say what you will, but the President was in Washington on Christmas Day, New Year’s, and this holiday weekend ready to talk. Where have Chuck and Nancy been? Hawaii, San Francisco, New York, and everywhere but at their posts. I hope furloughed feds are taking notice!
