How is a dead person supposed to move their foot from the gas pedal to the brake? Even if they just took their foot off the gas, if the car is in drive it is going to continue to move forward until it hits something.
The ICE thugs shot a woman driving a car where she could have ran over agents and civilians after they killed her. If anything, they are lucky that she ran into the pole and not one of them.

Republicans have to reign in these ICE agents. They are out of control. The shooter should be charged with murder.
Protesters need to be more careful. You can’t block traffic, ignore orders to get out of the car, cause chaos and confusion by trying to speed off in your car without consequences. Those consequences shouldn’t be death but she should’ve gotten out of her car and accepted the citation or arrest if it was warranted. She made a bad situation worse. Then the shooter made it 10000x worse.
"Both sides"??? The percentage of Americans who are unprofessional trigger happy ICE agents or protesters with the time and brazenness to interfere with Federal Law Enforcement make up a fraction of a percent of our population. These are not sides. These are two small factions of people who, together, have become a ticking time bomb that was inevitably going to go off.
Reckless and unruly ICE Agents and protesters do not represent large swath of people.
Sorry I shouldn't have said "both sides". What I mean is that like immediately after this, the Republicans aligned with the ICE agent and the Democrats aligned with the victim.
I wish Republicans would come out and say, "hey we have a HUGE problem with what that ICE agent did and he should be charged with murder."
And I wish the Democrats would come out and say, "hey that was a huge tragedy. Let's not let her death be in vain. If you are going to insert yourself in ICE operations, you need to stay calm, have a plan, and understand the stakes / the situation." (Not trying to victim blame but obviously in hindsight we can watch the video and see that she should've made different choices - though her murder is never ever justified).
She made perfectly reasonable choices.
We’re dealing with unreasonable people.
Fascist lunatics who think masked goons have the right to publicly execute American citizens for not “following orders” the goons have zero right to give.
A perfectly reasonable choice is not placing yourself at the mercy of split second decision-making by unhinged and inexperienced trigger happy LEOs. That is personal endangerment. I would beg and plead for my children and grandchildren not to make such choices and anyone else with any common sense would do the same.

The video and eyewitness testimony should be enough to convict.
And now, as my MAGA friend have so patiently explained, Minnesota State Troopersare authorized to shoot any FBI agent they want for "impeding state law enforcement operations"

There was no "jumping in front of the car".
The ICE agents were preparing to arrest the decedent. The ICE officer shooter had walked in front of the car, which was going in reverse, preparing to arrest her. The victim suddenly placed the car in drive, hit the accelerator in a reckless fashion, then hit the ICE agent with her vehicle (Honda Pilot).
One point of view is that the reckless driver attempting to escape law enforcement officers presented a danger to the community especially so after hitting an ICE agent with her SUV.
Unfortunately, people will interpret the video as they wish to support their political leanings.
Lawyers - do ICE agents have jurisdiction to arrest a someone for blocking a street lane? I am asking out of genuine curiousity.
No they do not. That would be a local or state police.

The ICE officer made a split second decision after being hit by the deceased moving vehicle.
1. Not hit.
2. Before the alleged hit.

Before they approached her car, they were yelling at her to move it and she wouldn’t move. That’s why they approached it to pull her out. It’s terrible she was shot. Plenty of bad decisions made all around.
She was not shot. She was executed to send a message. This is how terrorism works.
It was a smart message to send, proof of concept for the midterms.
Democrats “overperforming” in specials and off-year elections doesn’t matter. The Republicans are keeping their powder dry. The federal investigations of Democrats fundraising hasn’t stated yet. The harassment of Democrat campaign workers hasn’t begun. The intimidation of Democrat voters is wildly premature for an election nine months away.
The shooting yesterday will intimidate protesters to back off and let ICE pick up whoever they wish. Do you really want to get shot to stop your neighbor’s gardener from being picked up?
Same holds for voting Democrat. Do you really want to show up in a heavily Democrat precinct when you’ll stand in line for hours? Face bomb threats from Moscow? Stand and walk in front of trigger-happy armed-to-the-teeth Republicans? Republicans working for ICE, Border Patrol, the National Guard, and other enforcement agencies. Men who volunteered to patrol your blue area during Early Voting and on Election Day?
Meanwhile Elon pulls out the stops yet again, in every way we know he can.
Yeah, so tell me all about that building Blue Wave. Fact is, you can’t build a blue wave if your blue wavers are too scared to walk out their front door.
That's not how it's going to play out. Every one of these incidents is further driving voters toward the Democrats, particularly with Independents.
+1
Even with many voters who like Trump's overall stance on immigration (or at least, what it was over 14 months ago) will not feel that he is doing a good job of implementing it.

I’m on my phone so can’t do that right now. Will try when I get home.

Here is one but it only has the part where she was intentionally blocking traffic
She was not some innocent bystander. She was aggressively interfering ICE
+1
News reports are that the victim & her wife were actively harassing & filming ICE officers immediately prior to the tragic incident.
Filming is harassing??
Anyway, how do you account for her perfectly civil hand gesture giving the right of way to the first car? How is that “aggressive harassment”?
According to the woman interviewed that lives there and witnessed- her car parked in the middle of the road was causing traffic to bottle neck and back up- lots of honking and whistles (which prompted the witness to come out of her house). They were yelling at her to move her car and she wouldn’t. That was before they pulled up to her and got out.
Honest question: didn't they get what they wanted when she started to move her car? They approached her yelling, cursing, and grabbing her door handle. Couldn't the officers have accomplished whatever their original objectives were if they just let her drive away?
