The success after Hustlers was her chance to find more serious roles. I think a huge part of her problem is that she not given a lot options so she takes what she gets. She could have afforded to be more selective. Ben 2.0 movie has made her into a joke

Maybe this whole break up publicity was to give Jennifer a smoke screen to cancel her tour. If she canceled the tour due to low sales, she would be professionally embarrassed. But if she cancels the tour “to save her marriage”, she can spin that story that her “sacrifice” was “worth it”.

Great observation there as Fonda is one of her BFFs . She presented her star on the Hwood walk of fame , and apparently warned Jennifer about this ill advised movie . Fonda appeared in a role and was featured in the doc advising Jen against it per that Variety article

She’s worse as a singer than an actress.

I think if this Ben breakup is true; she will need to image rehabilitate again and becoming an actual grade A thespian and removing the glamour and ego and red carpet diva /main character syndrome she suffers from will be necessary


Pp here. Not to be politically incorrect, but I imagined her getting a nod for singing a song in Spanish that's attached to some important biopic or indie darling. Not a Top 40 or dance hit.

I think she’ll be ok and find a way. I do hope she gets her moment before she dies to win an Oscar. I think she deserves it and I have a soft spot for her for some reason . I think despite all the shit she gets, she does handle herself with class and it’s surprising she hasn’t had a public meltdown


J Lo winning an Oscar? She’s in her mid 50s and has never even been nominated. She’s never shown the type of acting chops necessary for that sort of recognition and I don’t think she has the respect of her peers.

Agreed. She's one of those celebs that I can't separate from their persona. All I see is Jlo. That limits her to a lot of roles
