I have actually had reactions in stores to dogs the next aisle over, and I'm not the only one that has posted in this forum about having a severe dog allergy. I think I should be able to go to the grocery store, just like everyone else with a disability. Do you also walk your dog on a long retractable leash and trip older people with mobility issues because your dog just has to run around and if they dont' want to be tripped, they ought to stay home?

I don't get it. I've had a few dogs and they would not wanted to have been in Target. When you train service dogs you literally have to work with them on densensitizing them to things like those slick shiny floors some stores have and the noises and lights of department stores. The average dog has not had that training, your dog is likely stressed and just wants to go home.

The big difference is that people in Europe have the good sense to get a small dog if they live in the city. Meanwhile here we have these urban hipsters who will cram a giant farm dog or pit bull into their small apartment. Many owners are also too lazy to take their dogs on proper walks. So is it any wonder then when these stressed animals act out in the grocery store or jump up on kids on the playground?!

I think there is a concerted effort to push the boundary. More people bringing them in makes it's gets harder to tell them no. Don't think it should be that way, but think it is.
