Well Bethesda U9 plus whoever they brought along as guest players. How do they place in hide and seek, or jacks, or other games where 9-year-olds are intensely competitive. The U11s boys did ok. I think the U12s scored two goals in four games and didn’t win any.

The samba boys just fired their coach. They are breaking up 3 will stay syc 3 will join team America 3 will join dorados and the last 3 stayed in Dallas to join a local team there. All other SYC teams will have lowered team fees as they will no longer have subsidize the samba boys who were on financial aid.
What club you with, pal? Not SYC but I wanna know so our boys can beat yours like you owe us money. Who the fruck says stuff like this, or even thinks it?
Bethesda. Good luck.
Aka “definitely not Bethesda.”
So the Samba Boys are not joining Team America?
The irony of whoever wrote that is that they clearly need to go back to grade school to work on their grammar.

I'm not saying it's a problem and don't care if Bethesda or any other team does this for tournaments. I'm simply saying they used at least 2 and maybe more players that are not on their current team. If people are going to say how good a team is it's a factor to realize they brought in guest players and I know the two played almost the entire time we watched. Once again, there is nothing wrong or unethical there, BUT they didn't win with their current team.
You mean a team from another club? Makes no sense to use guest players from bethesda since they are the top team so players would be on lower teams. Seeing they only have about 9-10 players on their team total which is not alot for 7v7 . Their goalie was not in the pictures on facebook. These could be some reasons.
Yes, from another club outside of Bethesda. I don't have a problem with it at all and my son guest plays all the time, but think it's something to consider for those saying how great the team is right now. By the way, they are 9u. We were there guest playing in an older group and my younger son, who is 9u and was not playing, knows two of the kids who guest played. Don't care either way and I'm sure a ton of other teams did the same.
Seems to be a lot of guest playing in these tournaments (which are pretty much post-season here in the DMV, not sure about elsewhere). I’ve got no issues with it. As for SYC, I’d guess that their style of play ran into some experienced refs who enforce the rules of the game.
Completely agree. I have no issues with a team using guest players for an out of state/out of season tournament. Most teams had a ton of guest players...ours included. It was actually a lot of fun and a well put on tournament.
My only comment was to those saying how now all of sudden this Bethesda or whatever team is now so good because they won this tournament when their actual team did not. By the way, I've seen that SYC Samba team play and they are very good, but my god the coach is the biggest ahole ever and they largely win by how others have commented. They play very dirty with arm bars, jersey pulling and tactical fouls.
Yeah, generally agree. Playing guest players from outside the club in something like State Cup, on the other hand, is pretty disgraceful.
Again, this tournament allowed unlimited guest players, so it's designed for this. State Cup does NOT allow any ANY guest players, so I'm not sure what info you are basing your post on.
