I got pregnant from one-time sex in months/years both times. There was no decision. If it was my decision, it would have been 0; I did not "need" them the way a lot of people seem to--I did not have a biological clock. I can't even comtemplate what it would be like to "decide how many kids" I was having or not. It just happened.

See I would say if you have to ask you probably don’t want another

I can’t see this as a pro/con list thing. It’s more of an instinct. DH was ready to stop with one but I wanted 2 as an only child. Neither DH or I have nephews or nieces and I wanted my kid to have at least a sibling. All you can do is hope your kids will like each other lol!

Our kids are now 9 and 11 and while we are always tired and broke I don’t know what I’d do without my little one. I think I’d be better and happier from a practical perspective with only one. However, I’m so much closer to my second. I love both but definitely my bond strongest with second.

You just have to decide. There’s always pros and cons. I mean on a practical level I’d suggest one is the way to go. Save time, money, energy. Really why would anyone have more than one?!!!! There is no practical reason for it.

But if you have to ask you probably want another!!!

I realized how good grocery shopping wirh a stroller was (no car) and decided to prolong that time by having a second. The darned pandemic totally screwed up my plans but my second has turned out to be a delight nonetheless.
