Please don’t vote for him because you are both angry about something the Falls Church city school board cannot control. Educate yourself on all of the candidates and their positions and find the ones that align with you. Then spend some time trying to influence the Fairfax health department.

He gets a little too in the weeds sometimes, but I like that he cares enough to watch all the meetings and actually analyzes the presentations and materials. Gould has a deep understanding of how School Boards work, too, and is an all-around nice guy. I think are by far the best equipped to manage Noonan. Not sure on my other two votes yet, but leaning Silverman for one.
That's one reason I like Anderson. He's doing the work, knocking on doors, and listening. Silverman is also out there knocking on doors. Not everyone can do lots of door knocking, but I've heard people mention Anderson, Gould, Silverman, Ortiz, and Mooney going around to houses. I've even seen Shapiro at the Farmer's Market.
The only candidate that I haven't heard of doing anything (except handing out signs) is Tysse.
I don't think Tysse is doing anything. I'm not even sure she's the one handing out signs - I think her friends are doing it for her. While her bio makes clear she has a lot of good experience, I'd like to see her put in some effort on this campaign and not just assume she'll be elected (which she will because she has broad PTA support and the administration likes her because she won't challenge Dr. Noonan). I'm clearly in the minority on that feeling, though!

Anonymous wrote:Did anyone watch the candidate forum where Shapiro spoke about being about he would do something no one else would - defend the constitution? Ick. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and was leaning towards voting for him (not that I totally agree with him but to have some more diversity of thought on the board) but no. He’s gross.
