Yet the health expert stated you can ditch the mask. This is the same health expert people like you probably thought made the right call when he didn't want private schools opened.
But now, he's wrong, of course, because he's making a call based on scientific data but it disagrees with your opinion which is probably formed by anxiety rather than fact.

Just in time for summer, too.
This. I was rather surprised they decided to go this route, but considering how conservative they've been it's actually kid of reassuring in a way.
This!
I attribute many of these posts to fear and anxiety. The today show was talking about the toll the pandemic has had over mental health.

Just my 2 cents.
I’ve not gone into a store that has dropped the mask requirement and I wonder if I will feel comfortable taking it off once I do. Not because I don’t feel safe, because I’m fully vaxxed and feel protected, but just because I don’t want to get hassled by other people!
I would wear a mask for the staff, because the staff don't know that I'm fully vaccinated.
If they see you with a mask they will assume you are not vaccinated.
They might just assume you are smart or careful or have kids. I don’t know any responsible adults, especially parents who are not wearing masks indoors.
Or maybe they just don’t think or care about you at all, because they had the opportunity to be vaccinated like everyone else.
Agreed - most Americans are inherently selfish and ignorant. They give zeros effs about kids or the immunocompromised.
Why would the staff be thinking about your kids or some theoretical immunocompromised people in your family while they are ringing up your groceries? They're just trying to do their job.
Exactly, why should we care about the olds, the littles, the sicks, the poors, etc. Let them die off. Tomorrow belongs to me!

Keep your mask on for another 14 days.
yes we are. But can't wait till Memorial day weekend. That's our Independence day from mask wearing.

Sorry science deniers, I will continue to go to the store w/o a mask and everywhere else I go.
Sorry if you are immunocompromised etc. etc. The world can't revolve about each person's individual needs.
Honestly - Generation Y and Z are barely having sex, let alone kids. Like PP, they are deep in their narcissistic feelings. You can’t really expect them to care about kids or sick people. Obvi maskless selfies with din-din are more important.
Oh please. You're just a typical Karen control freak. Let me guess, you avoid eating peanuts in public at a restaurant because you're worried about kids who may have severe peanut allergies too, right? Where does it end?

I got my shots, but I found out Monday that I don’t have antibodies. I have to go out for cancer treatments and would appreciate it if you wore a mask.
Until when? Covid is going to be with us forever, like the flu and other illnesses. How long should vaccinated people have to wear masks for the benefit of immunocompromised people?
How big of a deal is it to wear a mask at a grocery store, pharmacy or doctors office? Not a big deal to me, at least, even if I am already vaccinated.
At the bar or club, probably not, but the immunocompromised people are probably not hanging out there right now.
Don't understand people who don't care at all about the basic needs of others.
So, forever?
No thanks.
After a couple years, the virus will have settled down. Just like the 1918 flu turned into the "regular" flu.
A couple of years of wearing masks in a couple of places is not a hardship for me.
In fact, I've been so much healthier this year than I am wearing masks everytime I go to the doctor and pharmacy for the rest of my life. It's a small inconvenience that makes my life and those of people around me better.
Why is it such a burden to you? Did you mom make you wear a mask to beat you? Or punish you?
The masks were a temporary, emergency measure during the pandemic. The pandemic is winding down in the US, as a result of vaccinations (among several reasons). I've been vaccinated for nearly two months now. There is no rational, scientific reason for me to keep wearing a mask.
So, now, I don't agree that there's any reason to continue mask mandates.
Exhibit A: American selfishness “exceptionalism.”
I'm sorry you don't believe in science and are an anti-vaxxer.
