CMU's SCS class of 2025 is full; no one will be admitted off the waitlist at this point.

I clicked there but see literally one post about Princeton.

Are there other reliable resources out there? Do people post on college confidential? I know every college is different, but I'd like to keep up on what's happening generally...

Right now I see a conversation about Dartmouth, and a place to click to "View Entire Discussion" (2,200 more posts!).

If they know this is the case, they should just cut the cord. It's cruel to let the kids think they have a chance.

+1.

My DC seems to have moved on from the 5 WL he is on. DC was not super excited about accepting the school he finally decided on, but now seems really excited. Wearing the school tee, trying to find a roommate, talking about dorm assignments. What a relief! It looks like many colleges are having a very high yield, so glad DC isn’t counting on a WL acceptance. It is also heartwarming to see how supportive classmates are and how excited they are for everyone - regardless of where they are going to college!

Usually, should there be more waitlist movements by now?

I agree, but when will this begin? There are a lot of dominoes waiting.

It's like dominoes - first HYPS and the like will go to their waitlist, which kids will accept. That will free up spaces at Duke, UNC, MI, and the like, that kids will accept. That will free up spaces at (well, you get the idea).
