This country needs to revise the law. This is fox’s business model. If you do not have the money to sue them you are screwed.

In settling for this huge amount of money, they are admitting that they know they were going to lose and lose badly. Because they were lying to the world. I don’t know that this is so bad. Fox was going to appeal to the Supreme Court on the 1st Amendment. Who knows what kind of wild decision would come out of the SC.

For the non-legal here, what does this mean? And who would be charged with obstruction? Lawyers or someone at the company?

I didn’t hear about this until now so thank you special master PP. I had heard Fox tried to claim that Murdoch wasn’t an officer so his documents wouldn’t be discoverable, but this I hadn’t heard of. Nice!
