it is not because it disconnect from everything including religoius thoughts so chances are you might empty your mind
which often is not a desired religious effect.. as you supposed to conteplate religious connection all the time.
look at it as .. meditation = levitation
Sure, let’s empty your mind, so we can fill it with something else, because all things empty can’t remain that way for too long: basically open ourselves up for hypnosis.
And who can better fill our minds than the people emptying them. Do you want to give that much power to the public school system, aka government, aka big Corp lobbying? Whose values do you want to take place in your child’s empty head: yours or someone else’s?

I’m putting the whole conversation here, so my reply has a chance to not be taken out of context.

OP, with this level of hostility towards this issue you should look into private schools.. I think they also provide tuition assistance no?
if not there is always go found me option. Just tell people you don't want your kid to be hypnotized at school during the yoga moment and the money will roll..
How do you know that OP is who wrote that? Do you have ip information?
I was not the one who mentioned an open mind. That was you.
As per hostility, that was also you, ready to kick me out of public school so you can feel free to make new rules. That is precisely the problem with our schools, the people that don’t like something are ushered to leave, and do leave, so there is no one left to fight for the right thing.
