2019 - Honda Odyssey - mid range.

Only close in time due to an accident, but we generally keep cars for ~10 years.
Reason we bought Honda is reliability and we can walk to the dealership.

About $17MM net worth.
We have 2 2020 MB’s, one is a leased C300 the other is an owned GLC300.
I also have a 2016 MB SL400 as a “weekend” car and we have an Acura RDX that we keep at our condo in Florida.
We are an early 60’s couple, if that matters.

695K net worth (wondering how other are calculating by the way? for me it is equity in house + cash we have + retirement account and 529s- student debts and any other debts).

I just want to say I think it is so interesting that wealthy people in DC have no interest or little interest in top card. Many places in the country are very different.

$1.5 million and 5+ year old Subaru and Honda. Best resale value. Not interested in luxury money pits.

My good buddy who changes cars like underwear bought one a month ago and is ready to get rid of it. Honeymoon was way short and says he's now looking to ge a TLC as a daily. Currently he has 2 Porsches (365 & 911TTS), a baby hauler and a TRD pickup lifted pickup in his garage.

Just an update - my buddy traded in his G for a 2020 Toyota LC, ended up paying $79k and lost about 3K on the wagon. Sticker was 88K so he got a few bucks off.

Some folks are just car guys and it's not about showing off what they can afford. If that was the case with him he could of easily dropped $300k on some exotic. You think the car guys hobby is expensive - go look into what some guys spend on audio equipment, think 32k amps etc..lol

I've got happy news for you--the cars listed in this thread have a/c, automatic locks, and can probably go over 75 (although how much of that happens on roads around here, I'm not sure). Why feel judged simply because others have different priorities?
