I also know someone who named her sons (not twins, separated by 5 years or so) Devin and Devon. That's the worst one to me.
My father in law and his sister (not twins) are named Dennis and Denise.
Do we have the same family?
I have twin uncles: Don and Dan, but twin cousins Denise and Diane

Yep. This entire subject has been based over the decades on racial stereotypes. I knew it would go there. Have you not learned anything pp? Take the racist crap and shove it.
Not racist or stereotypical when it's true. You have never worked in an urban school or urban hospital, I guarantee it.

Which reminds me, this isn't twin related, but I know a white American woman who was married to a man from another country, and all SEVEN of her kids have names from his country that are hard to pronounce. Then she was divorced, became pregnant by an American guy and baby #8 is named Fred. I'm not going to say the real names or nationality but something like Xochitl, Meztli, etc and Fred.
This is so funny!Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I taught Mia and Miah, never got straight which was pronounced which way.
I did also have a student who’s legal name was Orange Jello [Smith]. College student, so I’m sure it was his own doing.
25+ years of teaching HS and college, I’ve seen some names
Recently? I know a set in elementary now. I don’t understand why you’d do that, especially with that spelling. Mia and Maya would still be bad but slightly less confusing.
