Same! Worked with a woman who targeted married men but was far more interested in one upping the wife "I can get your husband to cross this line." This. The ones I know seem much more in competition with the wife and care less about the actual man. They have very low self esteem and want all of the male attention they can find...and if the guy is married especially so. If the married woman is pretty and highly accomplished, they want the man even more because it is more of a 'challenge'. The sad part is that the married woman does not even know this is happening behind her back. She was never in the competition so to speak. The OW finds out everything she can about the relationship from the husband and then leverages any minor annoyances to her advantage.

Sick. It is BPD/narcissism. Many of these chicks had fathers that were checked out, left the family, cheated and basically didn't give them love and attention.

A very attractive married (mid-40s) coworker moved into my office building after she was reassigned from another work group. Her lovebombing tactics toward me (also married) included flashing her boobs at me in the office. She confessed that she'd been caught in an affair before with one of her husband's closest friends. I began to notice some other red flags in her behavior and asked some of the former coworkers what they knew about her. Apparently she was ostracized by her female coworkers for maintaining a list of married targets to pursue, including the husband of one of them (caught sending him nudes). I think she suffered from NDP and pursued married men to bolster her self-esteem and satisfy an insatiable need for external validation. Narcissists are in perpetual competition and she liked winning against both the men and their wives. Her oldest son is now in HS and I can only imagine what she wears in front of his friends. Sad, but there are people like that out there.

PP here. Yep, I told him it's all fun and games when you can sneak around, send sappy texts, and not deal with kids and life. I honestly hope they do stay together forever - miserably. After all the pain they've caused, they'd better be too embarrassed to ever break up. Suck it up!

I knew someone like this in college. She got a kick out of flirting with other girls’ boyfriends and breaking up relationships. She’s now been married a couple of times.
