Avery. Loved it years ago, and really glad I was over it by the time I actually had children.

Cody. When I was eight or nine years old I thought this was the epitome of cool. I’m a girl, but I wanted people to call me Cody.

DD’s name. :slaps forehead:

It is just fluffy and I think it’ll look bad on a resume. It doesn’t suit her personality and the person I named her after is now a conspiracy theorist.

Luckily she’s a teen and doesn’t seem to mind it. And I’m certainly not going to tell her.

Ha- this was on my list when I was younger. Along with Patricia. I loved the name Seamus too. I still do! I didn't have a boy though. When I was first pregnant, my girl name was Nora. I miscarried and then when I was pregnant again a few years later, the name lost its luster. I didn't realize that the name had gotten so popular! I like it fine, but it totally doesn't suit my daughter.

I thought that name would be a sure fire ticket to a sophisticated, globe trotting lifestyle with Paris as a home base. I hoped that we wouldn’t know each other as adults so she wouldn’t know I stole her name for my baby.

Ashley and Mackenzie

When I was 18 (1993) I was positive I wanted to name my future daughter Ashley. My future son would be Mackenzie; I know that's more common for girls now, but back then the only Mackenzie I had heard of was the actor, Mackenzie Aston.
