We originally were just seeing my gynecologist, they did a bunch of tests including an HSG and saline ultrasound. They thought I might have polyps but the ultrasound was unsuccessful because the saline water would not stay in my uterus, so everything was inconclusive. My husband also had tests done with a urologist and everything came back clear except for a slightly low sperm count. We put the testing on hold or a while because we weren't sure what are next steps were. Fast forward a year... A couple weeks ago we decided to see an actual RE. We were going to start IUI. He ordered a bunch of tests and blood work, and another saline ultrasound... and low and behold I have two polyps in my uterus that will be taken out in a week. I am not sure of the size, but the RE seems very confident of our chances with IUI after the polyps are removed. This will be my first surgery and I was very nervous, but all of your stories have giving me peace and hope. I will be sure to update again once I get my BFP!! Thinking positive!
