It is amazing that Democrats have principles and want their candidates to undergo a purity test while cons would vote for the devil if he called himself a Republican and promised to enrich their 401ks while keeping out brown immigrants.

I am not a fan of Bloomberg, never have been. But I admit to enjoying his takedowns of Spanky. You know Spanky hates him because Bloomberg is a real billionaire not a fake one. And that makes me happy.

As trite as it sounds, I read the recent Twitter duel with Bloomberg and Trump. Trump started it and Bloomberg finished it. I don't like Trump's attacks on physical attributes (glass house?) but I love Bloomberg fighting back because everyone else is afraid. Now, Trump is angry. Don't give it if you can't take it.

Why is he apologizing for these policies? Common sense is not always the answer to complex issues. If you had any common sense you would realize that. He implemented racist policies, defended them in language that is even more bigoted that the policies on their face. And you are spouting rubbish about common sense.

There is always a human component to data. And sometimes, data allows you to draw conclusions that you are desperately seeking whether or not these conclusions are the entire picture.

Human empathy goes a long way. And Bloomberg has certainly show that he has none for black people who are victims of racial profiling. For a man with so much wealth, he had enough access to information/data/studies showing how rampant and detrimental racial profiling is. Yet in 2015, he choose to take a narrow-minded stance on his policies. There are ways he could have defended his thinking at the time without being so blatantly ignorant to the negative impacts of his policies.

No, it’s because she is a brilliant, talented politician and communicator and a very human and relatable woman. It’s because she has done powerful work to support voting rights and equality. It’s because she genuinely sees and can inspire and mobilize women and people of color and caregivers (do you know about Care In Action), people who are often unseen. That’s how Democrats will win.

Bloomberg has common sense (I bet he used data in his policies too!) but will of course be labeled racist by both the “head in the clouds” and those who want to exploit the drastic lack of common sense and data driven policy options in today’s US.
