The nearby Citgo that I often use when I don't get to Costco was $2.29 a gallon. The Sunoco two blocks down was $2.34 a gallon. Usually Costco is at least 15 cents cheaper than my neighborhood gas stations. Just an observation. Not sure what's up.
Using my Giant points, I got $ .70 off a gallon and paid $1.90 a gallon.
How much did you have to spend in Giant to receive that $0.70 off a gallon if I may ask? Thanks.
Sorry, I don’t know. It is walking distance to my house so we shop there regularly and accumulate “gas points” at shell gas stations.
It's $700.
So you have to spend $700 to get 70 cents off of one gas fill-up? But you think it's a better deal than Costco? Ok.
Not exactly, you get 10 cents a gallon for every $100 spent. Since this is my regular grocery store, and I spend multiples of that monthly, it is a pretty good deal.

Freeze them! They're great frozen snacks, even in the dead of winter. You don't need an industrial size refrigerator, contrary to what others here seem to suggest. I can't possibly go through five dozen eggs but they do sell a pack of 18 eggs for an unbeatable price.
Aldi can beat the egg price.
I've priced Aldi and Costco and for us they are nearly the same, costco is a few cents cheaper but you have to buy 18 rather than 12 (which is good for us because 12 isn't enough and 24 is too much). Costco has more reliable quality control than Aldi overall on many products.

I don’t know about Giant, but Safeway often has bonuses with the gas rewards (eg, double points on produce or 4 has rewards if you spend $60 in a single trip) so it may not take a full $700 to get 70 cents of rewards.

Anonymous wrote:NOT worth it. 1. Sams club is much closer and the drive is so far that we can't buy frozen food. 2. Can't really buy anything without spending hundreds of dollars there. We have a Costco card but ONLY because we get one for free because family.
