She came across as taunting to me telling Collin to say goodbye to his bear and saying "too bad" in response to his tearful plea. I get being upset about the gum but she seemed far nicer to Aunt Jody (who is old enough to know that 3 year olds will most likely make a mess with gum) than she was to the sobbing 3 year old who really wasn't at fault.

I don't want to think what records the world would have of me if I had 8 kids in 4 years before I was 30 years old. It would have been a total shit show. Complete and utter ciaos. At that age DH and I made no money and had little patience. We went on to have three kids but they were spaced out and the last one came just a touch before 40 so we had matured up quite a bit. Throwing yourselves into the lion den of parenting and broadcasting it to the world isn't how I would have functioned. Also who has twins and then does MORE fertility? I get it when you only have a singleton and want a sibling but if you have two kids don't you think you should be happy with that???

No. You expect perfection out of someone who has their hands full. Kate lost her temper because another adult made her life even more difficult. This was not a shining moment for Kate, it doesn't make her look good but she was the one getting sh*t done. It is easy to sit back and judge when you are not the one doing the work.

Kate is no saint, she has her flaws and I'm sure that she has made her fair share of parenting mistakes along the way. But I do believe that she loves her kids and truly is trying to do good by them. I also think that Jon has a mean and selfish streak that is a mile wide.
