If they started paying him more just so that she could carry on an affair with him, then that is an issue.
I highly doubt the affair started before he was hired to be a consultant on her campaign.
I mean, he was still performing his paid job, right? Not appropriate to get involved with the client, but paying someone for campaign consulting fees is not damning in and of itself.
According to reports, "travel expenses" were not paid to him until around April 1, 2019. That is concerning.

Of course the manifestly poor judgment to have such an affair so early in her career with so many hopes and dreams of her constituents on her, is a valid strike against her. Similarly, engaging in an activity that damages two families and four children is a valid strike against her. Al Franken is in her district. Maybe she should resign and he could take over for her until there is a special election.
You are only guessing that she misused campaign funds. The guy is a legitimate political consultant who did work for her campaign.
And was sleeping with her.
Well then maybe it is a "#metoo" incident but it is not necessarily a campaign finance violation.
NP. At a minimum, it's an error in judgement (if the affair did in fact happen).
Never appropriate to direct campaign/corporate funds to someone that you're sleeping with.

Perhaps they’re “just friends” holding hands in public.

Maybe....
Necessarily...
What about her filing taxes with one husband while being married to another? And admitting she didn’t amend them?

Umm. Mark Sandord lost his governorship but was subsequently elected to the House, where he currently serves, and is running against Trump.
