His connection with college coaches is the only thing people would miss. There are far better coaches so yes, he is tolerated for his connections but is not a particularly strong or unique coach.
His connection with college coaches is not that deep. He has the exact same ability as every other coach to reach out and socialize with colleges. Christian has it too but prefers not to. Bobby does not have special connections, but he will call or text them. These days, with the new rules it's less and less necessary. Your player can do just as well on their own. He claims to have special relationships but he exaggerates. He forgets that eventually the player will have a conversation with the same college coach and discover the story is different, they arent really friends, etc etc.
